How we handle your information.
This page explains what the site collects, why, who processes it for us, how long it's kept and how to get it removed.
Summary
Four answers up front.
What does the site collect?
The details you type into the free books review, request-a-call or contact form: your name, your business, your email address, a phone number if you add one, your ZIP code and a description of your books. We also receive whatever you send by phone, text or email. Google Analytics runs on the site too; it sets cookies and gives your browser a pseudonymous ID.
What is it used for?
To answer your inquiry and, if you become a client, to carry out the work you engage us for.
Is it sold or shared?
No sale, and no sharing for marketing. It reaches only the providers listed below that run the form and our replies, plus anyone the law obliges us to disclose it to.
Can it be removed?
Yes: write to hello@everholtco.com and your inquiry details will be erased; the rights section lists everything you can ask for.
1 · What we receive
Only what you choose to send.
Information reaches us in three ways: through a form, by phone call or text, or by email. Each form is optional (the contact form, a request for a call, or the free books review), and each asks for much the same details. Submitting one sends us what you entered:
Identity
Your name and the name of your business.
Contact details
An email address, plus a phone number if you decide to include one.
Your books
Your accounting software, ZIP code, a description of your situation, and any message you write.
Where you were
The page you sent the form from and the topic you picked, so the reply comes from the right person.
Calls, texts and emails count as collection as well. Contacting us at (832) 702-3325 or hello@everholtco.com gives us your number or address and whatever you say, and we use it only to reply. Texts from us come from our business line and only answer something you asked; we send no automated or marketing texts, and replying STOP ends them.
2 · Who handles it
The path a form submission takes.
A submitted form first reaches code on this site's own hosting, a Cloudflare Pages Function, which forwards it to Google, where Google Apps Script saves it to a Google Sheet as a new lead. Alongside the form, the Function adds a code computed from the connection's IP, a keyed hash, used only for rate limiting and not stored with your lead, which lets the form slow down repeated submissions from one connection without passing on the address itself. After the lead is saved, the Apps Script emails our team through Resend, the service we use for transactional email, so someone can read it and answer, and Resend also delivers an auto-reply to the address you entered so you know it arrived. If the site can't confirm the save, it shows a page that says so and asks you to call or email instead.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, whose standard server logs record requests (IP address, page, browser and time) so the site can be delivered and protected; those logs aren't used to work out who visitors are. Twilio carries the calls and texts that reach our business number. All of these providers act for us and use your information for nothing beyond hosting the site, passing your submission to us, putting a call or text through, or letting us answer, and never for their own marketing.
Choosing Pick a time opens Cal.com, a scheduling service, in a new tab. It gathers the booking details it requests under Cal.com's privacy policy, and we receive the booking with the details you enter.
We use what you send to answer your inquiry and, if you become a client, to carry out the work you engage us for. We don't sell it or share it for marketing, we pass it to no one beyond the providers named here except where the law requires, and we don't sign you up for mailing lists.
3 · Analytics and cookies
Google Analytics measures how the site is used.
The site runs Google Analytics 4 (GA4). It sets cookies and gives your browser a pseudonymous client ID, an identifier rather than your name, so it can count page views, taps on the phone number and saved form submissions. Our server tells Google Analytics about a saved submission, sending a random submission number and the form's name but no personal details, and logs that the report was sent; an unsaved submission reports nothing, and the confirmation page reports nothing either. Bookings made with Pick a time carry that pseudonymous ID to Cal.com through the link; Cal.com returns it along with the booking, letting our server log the booking along with its event type and nothing more. Because GA4 can tell one browser from another by that ID, it isn't strictly anonymous, though it isn't linked to your name unless you also send us a form. Its purpose for us is learning which pages help and how visitors arrive, and we keep it apart from what you submit in a form.
Google runs Google Analytics under Google's privacy policy. Your browser settings let you block or clear cookies whenever you like, and the site still works without them.
4 · What the site leaves out
Things this site doesn't collect or run.
User accounts
Nothing to register for and no passwords kept: the site has no accounts.
Payments
The site never asks for payment details. Engagements are scoped and billed separately, by written agreement.
Campaign tags and click IDs
Visits that start from an advertisement or a campaign-tagged link save its click ID (Google Ads' gclid, for example) and its UTM tags, kept in browser storage on your device for 90 days and then deleted. Send a form during that period and they go with your inquiry, so we can see which campaign brought you. No other campaign parameters are stored in browser storage. GA4 analytics cookies and Cloudflare server logs are described above; you can clear browser-stored campaign data through your browser's site-data settings.
Ad pixels and trackers
The site carries no ad pixels, remarketing tags or social-media trackers, apart from the campaign click IDs mentioned above. Google Analytics is its only analytics tool.
5 · How long we keep it
Retention, and having your details removed.
Lead records stay with us no longer than 24 months, unless you ask for earlier deletion, or longer where the law requires it. Submissions the spam filter holds back are held apart in their own log, for 90 days at most, so that a genuine message flagged in error can be restored, and anything held there is deleted with your lead whenever you request removal. To have what you sent removed sooner, email hello@everholtco.com.
If this policy changes in a material way, we'll post the revised policy here with a new effective date.
6 · Your rights
Requests we honor for everyone.
Whichever privacy statute does or doesn't reach a business of our size, we apply these as policy to every person whose details we hold:
See it
Ask what we have on file about you, and we'll say.
Fix it
Ask us to correct anything about you that's wrong.
Remove it
Ask us to erase the personal information we have about you.
Take a copy
Ask for your personal information in a format you can carry elsewhere.
Sale and targeted ads
Nothing to opt out of here, because we don't sell personal information or show targeted ads.
Reconsideration
Ask us to look again at any request we turn down.
Email hello@everholtco.com to use any of these. We'll verify your identity as far as the little we hold allows, and then respond. This section states our policy and practice. It doesn't decide which privacy law covers this business, and it is not legal advice.
